Have to brag about my daughter today - I know nothing to do with paper crafting but there you go she's my only daughter and she made me proud today. Last weekend she had a piano competition and got the top rating which meant she got to play in todays recital. Thought I'd share the movie I made.

Quick Simple Saves the Day
Sometimes one needs a quick and simple card which will work. So this is what I came up with. Granted I didn't come up with the total idea myself - I found the general idea from another Consultant Lisa Stenz but I changed out the stamps and made it even a little simpler that hers.
Its all done on textured card stock. The stamp sets are the next two months SOMs. I can see me making many of these cards in multiple versions and colors.
Enjoy.

Imagine - Zoo Pages
Had the Cherish/Imagine Class today. Its one of my favorites as we're all friends have some time to make scrapbook pages. Its scrapbook therapy really as we all get to catch-up with what going on with every ones life and issues!
I was working on Zoo pages today ready for some pictures from our summer trip last year. So this evening I have worked on getting some of the pictures on the pages and adding some embellishments. The layouts in Cherish and Imagine are so great because you can really make your pictures fit easily even when you did the layouts with no reference to the pictures you had. This layout was meant to have 3 much smaller pictures than I added plus one large picture which I didn't have. The orientation of the elephant and the kids worked together so then I had to come up with something to tie them together and because I love elephants and think they are cute did a comparison of cuteness statement - and pulled the page together with just this sub-title.
I was also finally able to do some sewing on my page as I got the sewing machine fixed. The machine was a 21st birthday gift which hadn't been used in a while so needed just a once over at the repair shop. It works really well and I will be doing more and more sewing I'm sure on my pages as its so much fun to do. I recommend sewing highly to everyone as a great addition to the scrapbooking tools.

Happy Springtime

Spring may not quite be in the air today here in Fort Worth but decided to make this Spring themed card. I made the butterfly standout by stamping him twice and then cutting out one and adhering 'him' to the first one with liquid glass. Both butterflies were colored using water color pencils and blender pen. All supplies are from CTMH.

Mother's Day Card

A theme on a variation. Made this card basically for the classes I'm teaching this month but wanted to change it out for Mother's Day. So I added the strip - the original has Hi! on the cream paper but there wasn't room for Mother's Day Greeting.
The stamp set if the March SOM which at first I didn't like but now I'm a convert totally and have loved making this card using it. The dutch blue cardstock is embossed using me new favorite tool the cuttlebug. Its so easy to make cute backgrounds like this. Especially with the white core paper of the CTMH which adds dimensions.
In the meantime I have also been working on my room. Not picture ready yet but nearly. Great improvements have been made. I may even have something to work on next weekend at the crop!
I hope to finish today. Wait until you see the picture

Urgh!!!!!!!!
I can't quite believe I haven't posted in so long. Life has taken over and its been filled with so many "essential" things that others have gone by the wayside.
As you can see from my scraproom its not that things are organised round here. They aren't. At the moment I'm trying to madly get ready for a scrapbook retreat and this seems crazy with the state of my room and where everything is. I love scrapbook retreats but I just wish I could pick my room up and take it with me. I have no clue what I'm working on really and so no clue what not to take so I guess I better start moving now so I will have it all ready. I don't even have the pictures printed so it makes it a little hard to get ready. Anyone got a few days to do this for me????
